Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer, therefore it is important for us to be able to identify it and seek medical attention as soon as possible. The three most common types of skin cancers are1:
- Basal Cell Carcinoma (Most common)
- Melanoma (Most deadly)
- Suqamous Cell Carcinoma (Less common)
Today, I would like to focus on the differences between the characteristics of a mole versus that of a melanoma. The table below outlines the key differences2:
